Nowadays there are soooooooooooooooooooooooo many reality TV shows and about so many different things! st barths Personally, I enjoy reality TV shows because even though they are supposed to be reality most of them are really scripted. I believe that nowadays most young viewers prefer to watch and enjoy TV shows. st barths There are so many different types of reality TV shows because there are numerous different viewers who have different reasons why they watch. There can be both negative and positive effects that these reality TV shows have on us, the viewers, st barths depending on how one views and takes the essence of the show.
Let s start of with the definition of what is a reality TV show. A reality TV show, according to Wikipedia, is a genre of television programming that presents purportedly unscripted dramatic or humorous situations, documents actual st barths evens, and usually features ordinary people instead of professional actors, sometimes in a contest or other situation where a prize is awarded. Many reality TV shows now don t have a prize awarded at the end, the prize is now 15 minutes of fame for those ordinary people, and although it is said to be unscripted, many believe for some scenes to be scripted that way providing your audience with more drama or what the hell moments. In reality TV shows, the role of these ordinary people is to see what their reactions in certain scenarios are, and how they face given situations. Thus, this is why it is not really unscripted because with these scenarios it gives the audience a chance to connect with the show s stars because they see them as real and normal people who are representing them. Especially, when the shows take place at the viewer s hometown. For example, Jeresylious takes place in New Jersey, so I would assume that many of the viewers can connect with certain places that are shown, and feel as if they where there themselves.
Let s take for exampleJerseyShore.JerseyShoreis a reality TV SERIES! It premiered on MTV on December 2009 in theUnited States. The series follows the lives of eight housemates spending their summer at theJerseyShorein the state ofNew Jersey. That was season one. The case consist of Angelina (only lasted 2 seasons), Deena (took over Angelina), JWoww, Mike The Situation , Nicole Snookie , Pauly D, Ronnie, Samantha, and Vinny. Season 2 followed the cast toMiami Beach, Season 3 they were returning toJerseyShore. st barths Season 4 they filmed inItaly! And Season 5 with them returning toSeaside,JerseyShore. This show has so much controversy because it used the words Guido/Guidette portrayals of Italian-American stereotypes, and the scrutiny st barths from locals because the cast member were not residents of the area (this would be a negative effect of a reality TV show on society). Every since Jersey Shore came out you see more and more youth trying st barths to be those of the Jersey Shore cast, even if they are not Italian-American. They tend to think, act, and feel, like the show s stars, and in the process lose their own sense of critical st barths thinking and real emotions toward certain situations.
The stars start to live their lives through the show, especially if the show makes it big likeJerseyShore. For example, Pauly D, now has his own show and JWoww and Snookie are going to be getting their own show as well. Each reality show portrays and fulfills certain desires like power or influence, st barths travel and living, survival st barths and outwitting, beauty st barths and satisfaction, revenge and honor. But mostly shows DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA that we the viewers would only imagine sometimes.
Sometimes viewers might be into a reality TV shows because they are seeking inspiration, validation, something to make them feel better about their day (life) or themselves. Other times watching a reality TV is a good form of escape or maybe even just seeing how others are living their lives or what else might be out there is a connection we get. At the end of the day, it is the viewer s decision to either live by a reality TV show, or live their life! Whatever the case, we have had good and bad reality TV shows. Shows that have given us great singers (like American Idol) and shows that have given us Snookie (likeJerseyShore).
