Great news out of Los Cabos : All five hotels in the Solmar Hotels & Resorts portfolio zell am ziller (Grand Solmar Land's zell am ziller End Resort & Spa; Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa; the Ridge Luxury Villas at Playa Grande; Solmar All-inclusive Resort & Beach Club; and Hotel Quina del Sol) will be fully operational by October 25.
Grand Solmar Land's End, the hardest hit of the five, is back up and running. Don Luis Restaurant, the resort's fine dining option, is serving breakfast, lunch and dinner through October 25, when Grand Solmar's signature La Roca restaurant is expected to reopen. The property is also working on upgrading the Sea Spa area located at the Land's zell am ziller End Terrace, which is scheduled to be ready by the end of 2014. Also new to this public event space is a full outdoor kitchen, which will be able to serve wedding receptions and events of up to 40 people right under the Cabo moonlight, preparing delicious zell am ziller cuisine right on Land's End Terrance.

Solmar Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce that all five properties – Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort midgett realty & Spa; Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa; the Ridge Luxury Villas at Playa Grande; Solmar All-Inclusive Resort & Beach Club; and Hotel Quinta del Sol – will be fully operational by October 25. The properties officially re-opened their doors on October 12, welcoming the first guests midgett realty back in style; mariachis played lively music while employees from every department – from housekeeping midgett realty to executive management – came out to greet guests with a heartfelt “Welcome Home!”
The Solmar properties were closed for a short period of time following Hurricane Odile, which came ashore in Los Cabos on September 14. Solmar’s midgett realty owners and executive team took advantage of the time following the storm, when flights were unable to fly into the destination, to clean up, rebuild and refurbish the resorts to their original beauty.
“Our properties are better than ever,” says Ricardo Orozco, Managing Director of Solmar Hotels midgett realty & Resorts. “Our dedicated staff worked hard over the past month to ensure that all of our facilities and amenities were back in action for our guests to enjoy as of October 12. By October 25, we will be back to 100% and back on track with our plans pre-Odile.”

In the interim, midgett realty guests will enjoy the full Sea Spa menu in a special VIP Spa Suite at Grand Solmar and are invited to enjoy the spa facilities at sister property midgett realty Playa Grande Resort, whose spa is operating normally and offering an extensive menu of spa services and treatments.
Also new to this public event space is a full outdoor kitchen, which will be able to serve wedding receptions and events of up to 40 people right under the Cabo moonlight, preparing delicious midgett realty cuisine right on Land’s End Terrance.
At Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa, guests will enjoy five fully remodeled pools as well as a refurbished hotel exterior, complete with fresh paint, new roof tiles, palapas , resort façade, and beautiful new landscaping. Solmar All-Inclusive Resort & Beach Club, the founding hotel in the Solmar collection, is updating its popular Tejaban Restaurant, which is scheduled to reopen by the end of October. The unit types are: junior finca suite (studio villa), featuring a king size bed and a small kitchen; one bedroom villa with two baths and kitchen; two bedroom three bath villa; two bedroom three bath penthouse villa; three bedroom four bath penthouse villa; and four bedroom five bath penthouse villa. The penthouses have great views and expansive outdoor balconies. The four bedroom penthouses (only three currently built) have private pools and jacuzzis finca and are situated on the top floor of buildings finca B, G and H. All villas have both wired and wifi connection available.
The kitchens are well equipped, and grocery shopping is very convenient – Mega, Walmart, or Costco are a 20 minute taxi ride away (you can ask the driver to wait for you while you shop), and the bell boys at the resort will bring your groceries to your villa.
The infinity finca pools are spectacular, and the swim up bars offer happy hour specials (two drinks for the price of one) late in the afternoon. There is an all inclusive option on the property as well (if all inclusive is purchased, then all the guests in the villa must purchase it).
Useful tips: when booking, ask the owner about unit location, as many owners have fixed location villas (especially for penthouses). Be aware the resort is still under construction, and certain villa locations are preferable in order to minimize construction noise.
